Judith Blackwell, M.D.

Gynecology/Infertility/Endocrinology

Photo of Dr. Judith Blackwell, M.D.Judith Blackwell, M.D., joined the Tulsa Center for Fertility and Women’s Health in 1989. Her practice includes all areas of infertility including in vitro fertilization, consultative gynecology and reproductive endocrinology. She is an experienced laparoscopic surgeon in both the areas of infertility and gynecology. Her interests in endocrinology include problems with ovulation including polycystic ovary syndrome, problems with bone development and osteoporosis and menopause.

Dr. Blackwell is fellowship trained and board certified in the area of Endocrinology. Her fellowship and residency experience included training in in-vitro fertilization, laser and laparoscopic surgery. She also completed residencies in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Internal Medicine and is board certified in those areas as well. She is certified by the Accreditation Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy.

She is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and recently was asked to serve on their patient education committee. She is a member of the American Society of Gynecologic and Laparoscopic Surgeons, American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a professor on the faculty of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and is a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation board member.

Previously Dr. Blackwell served on the Women in Medicine Committee of the Tulsa County Medical Society and on the Community Relations Committee of that Society as well. She has done research in the areas of infertility, including in vitro fertilization, polycystic ovary syndrome, recurrent pregnancy loss and insulin resistance.
